Coming to Toyota of Glendale in 2012: The Toyota Prius Plug-In
87
miles per gallon might seem a ridiculous expectation on a new model
release from a major vehicle manufacturer, but it's coming anyway[2]!
While we aren't able to announce an exact release date, we can confirm
that Toyota of Glendale will be one of a number of dealerships around the
United States to receive the 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-In sometime around
March of 2012.
The Plug-In is much like the same Prius that is
enjoyed by more than one million homes in the U.S., but with some key
added features. It introduces a new extended EV mode that can let you
drive up to 15 miles on a single charge, up to 62 MPH, as well as a
quick three-hour charge time from a standard 120V AC household outlet.
If you run out of electric charge, the vehicle seamlessly shifts into
hybrid mode, still giving you great MPG. Plus, the Prius Plug-In comes
with Toyotacare, with complimentary maintenance and roadside
assistance[4].
Because
initial quantities on hand will be very limited, we strongly recommend
you register for your Prius Plug-In in advance. To get started, fill out
the form below, and we'll contact you with further information to help
you lock in your new Prius Plug-In
